thanks for the info guys! after some poking and prodding i did realize that i had not depressed the piston sufficiently (i tend not to try to apply alot of pressure while working on the bike). i read a bit further in clymers and found the exploded view of the caliper and bingo, had it. again, thanks for the feedback (feels good to get the new ones on after inspecting the old ones!). t..
